Dr. Jon Bishop is a Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon with impeccable credentials. He was born and raised in Utah, completed his undergraduate work at Brigham Young University and then attended medical school at the University of Utah. A full General Surgery Residency at State University of New York in Buffalo was completed with Board Certification. After some consideration, he chose the University of Texas for his three-year Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Residency and there attained Board Certification in Plastic Surgery. Dr. Bishop received an
“Outstanding Resident” award by his faculty, and “Best Teacher” award by his peers.
Redlands, California was home for the first seven years of Dr. Bishop’s practice. He was on the clinical faculty with Loma Linda University while still working at Kaiser Permanente and taught many surgery residents during that time. Dr. Bishop earned a special certificate in Hand Surgery in addition to Plastic Surgery Board Certification.
In 1998, Dr. Bishop brought his practice to Utah Valley and currently has a thriving solo practice. From the first patient in 1998, the practice has expanded through a rewarding “word of mouth” referral base. It is very important to him and his staff to be continually friendly and show competency to each patient. Dr. Bishop and his staff balance personal attention with an environment of state-of-the-art surgery. The goal is always meticulous pre-surgical, surgical, and post-surgical care.
Dr. Bishop is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, Utah Medical Society, Rocky Mountain Plastic Surgery Society and Singleton Society of Texas.
Dr. Bishop and his wife Carol Jean are parents of seven children. They enjoy their time together living in this great part of the country.
