Can you relate to this?
Patients often come to the office because they have lost weight, but are so very frustrated that the skin now hangs from their body. Running and movements are a problem. They often feel so embarrassed that they hate to wear short sleeves, and certainly are hesitant to swim! I really feel the concern of such patients. I like to sit down, present options that could remedy this problem. For these folks, they work so hard in losing weight, but having the excess skin seems to be as bothersome as the weight these people carry. It is gratifying, that after we finish our plan – these people are delighted, and so am I! This type of encounter has been a very common, but very fulfilling part of being a plastic surgeon. Smile, and have a great spring day!
